The U.S. Air Force is developing a new Long-Range Stand-Off (LRSO) nuclear missile. The service plans to field the LRSO by 2030 to replace the current, General Dynamics (now Raytheon) AGM-129A Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM) that originally entered service in 1991. In May 2021, the Air Force awarded an Engineering and Manufacturing Design (EMD) contract to Raytheon Missiles and Defense, Tucson, Arizona. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division (AFNWC/NDB), which is resident at Eglin AFB, Florida, is the System Program Office (SPO) responsible for the acquisition.

Role and Responsibilities

• Advise and assist in developing and verifying cybersecurity requirements (e.g., Cyber
  Survivability Attributes (CSA)) with a comprehensive assessment of the management, operational, and technical cybersecurity controls employed within or inherited by Platform IT (PIT) system to determine the overall effectiveness of the cybersecurity implementation.
• Provide an assessment of the severity of weaknesses or deficiencies discovered in the PIT system and its operational environment and recommend corrective actions to address identified vulnerabilities.
• Identify cyber attack surfaces and vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with the appropriate local authorities as required to acquire cyber test approvals and supporting information for ISSM assessment of required Authority to Operate, Authority to Connect, and associated Risk Management Framework.
• Plan, develop, conduct and oversee cyber resiliency, vulnerability and adversarial penetration testing and present results and recommendations to AOs, Government leadership, and IPT leads.

Desired Experience/Qualification

• Extensive experience and understanding of Platform IT (PIT) Cybersecurity, i.e., specifically for weapon systems NOT the typical facility IT networks/computers.
• Experience with Mission-based Risk Assessment Process for Cybersecurity (MRAP-C).
• Experience with critical component identification and supply chain risks.
• Experience in weapon systems acquisition and developing cyber-related acquisition products (e.g., PPP, AT Plan, Key Management Plan).
• Experience with a PIT system in special access program (SAP) settings utilizing collateral, and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) security methods.
• Experience with the application of Federal, DoD, and Air Force Cybersecurity concepts/processes/directives.
• Experience and understanding of munitions maintenance operations and associated support equipment.
• Have 3 - 10 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Cybersecurity is preferred or Computer Science.

This position requires candidates to possess a current TOP SECRET security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance will result in a candidate being ineligible for this position.
