Torch Technologies is Hiring a LRSO Radiation Engineering Professional Near Eglin AFB, FL

Job Description:

Torch Technologies is seeking an electrical engineer to support the LRSO program with an emphasis on high energy radiation effects at Eglin AFB, FL. This position is perfect for an electrical engineer with a bachelors or masters of science with a few years of experience. The position will require review of test plans and reports and support the oversight of test execution. A successful candidate will coordinate between test teams and laboratories to ensure that all necessary steps are done before a test begins. The hired candidate will serve as the technical engineering oversight of the design, development, integration and testing of nuclear survivability characteristics for the program.

Preference will be given for candidates with radiation test experience, but it is not required. EMI/EMC test experience is relevant and would be an easy crossover for an experienced EE to understand and learn a new aspect of electronic effects. An electrical engineer with experience in the design and development of circuits and circuit card assemblies would be successful at this work. If you have any of these experiences and 4 years of work past your BSEE or MSEE and a minimum of a DOD secret or DOE L clearance then please apply.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience to include the below essential duties:

  • Review test plans for technical accuracy and the ability to demonstrate test objectives will be met, observe on-site testing to ensure compliance with test plans, and review test reports for completeness of data and technical accuracy.
  • Provide written feedback/documentation of all findings of test plans and reports.
  • Coordinate test plans with multi-functional teams of government and contractors. Organize assignments of various team members while also checking for completeness and technical accuracy of the information provided.
  • Serve as technical engineering oversight of the design, development, integration, and testing of electronic assemblies for nuclear survivability.
  • Support program risk mitigation activities with technical assessments and documentation of potential risks.
  • Write, coordinate, and maintain program documentation.
  • Prepare reports and presentations and give technical presentations for program leadership.
