Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity within the Strategic Systems Business Unit in beautiful Huntsville, AL for a highly experienced Senior Systems Design Engineer well-versed in DoD weapon system development with a focus on Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Systems to include Command, Control, Battle Management, & Communications (C2BMC).

The applicant will:

• Serve as a Senior Systems Design Engineer with missile defense extensive design, development, testing, evaluation, fielding, and technical leadership experience.
• Develop and apply innovative methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of extremely complex missile defense system engineering requirements and challenging problems requiring the expert and innovative application of advanced superior knowledge. Review completion and implementation of systems additions, enhancements/upgrades and recommends corrections in technical application and analysis to technical and program management.
• Review and evaluate prime/OEM contractor objective evidence, capabilities, and provides technical consultation to other organizations as required.
• Develop, maintain, and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
• Provide leadership for other Torch employees as required.

BS in Electrical Engineering is required along with a minimum 35 years’ related experience.

Specifically, the Applicant will be required to:

• Manage all activities for the C2BMC Risk Management process, including program-level and MDS system-level risks.
• Provide front-office technical subject matter expertise for all C2BMC technical activities, including software/hardware development, infrastructure modernization, data analysis, and higher-than-secret program implementations.
• Provide oversight for hardware/software design, development, and testing to optimize operational effectiveness.
• Prepare executive level communications (briefings, activity reports, event summaries, etc.) for engineering activities within the C2BMC program office.

Position requires that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance to access classified information. Candidates with an active TS/SCI are strongly preferred. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
