JOB DESCRIPTION: 

This position is a contracted, non-benefitted maintenance position for the Toronto Blue Jays through December 31, 2024. The position will report to the Director of Facilities based out of the Toronto Blue Jays’ Spring Training Facilities in Dunedin, Florida. The primary function is to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Other functions include the install or service field lights, PA/sound systems, or electrical control systems. Ability and willingness to perform key responsibilities listed at both the TD Ballpark and the Player Development Complex. During non-peak periods, individual may be asked to report directly to the TD Ballpark. 

RESPONSIBLITIES: 

• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting motors, electrical devices, equipment, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications.
• Maintain specialized equipment or machinery located in kitchens, dining areas, and laundry.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components.
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments.
• Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, manuals, or schematic diagrams.
• Align and balance new equipment after installation. 
• Inputs, tracks, and monitors maintenance requests daily. 
• Order parts, supplies, or equipment as needed. 
• Works with staff to submit maintenance requests and resolve issues. 
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High School Diploma with 4 years of electrical experience.
• Associate degree or vocational schooling preferred. 
• Apprenticeship training in electrical, journeyman experience preferred 
• Comprehensive training and understanding of NFPA 70E and LO/TO procedures.
