Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join their team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, helping the company secure new business while ensuring that all projects are financially viable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential project information.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
  • Prepare and present estimates to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor costs during the construction process to ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Update estimates based on project changes and modifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of project bids and proposals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Timberline).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with commercial and residential projects is a plus.
