The Role:

Torticity is looking for a dynamic VP, People & Culture to join our rapidly growing organization. In this role, you will lead our People Operations team and continue to cultivate the positive and inclusive work environment we have built to date. As we continue to grow, this is a vital role in the ongoing success and development of the team and company.

The VP, People & Culture will be a key member of the leadership team. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and support our mission, values, and culture. The successful candidate will lead a team of HR professionals and collaborate closely with all department heads to ensure that our people practices enable employee engagement, retention, and development.

*Please note this is a local search. We're on a hybrid schedule in our Boca Raton office three days per week.*

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's short-term and long-term goals. Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on all people-related matters.

• Employee Engagement and Culture: Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture that fosters employee engagement, collaboration, and innovation. Implement programs and initiatives to enhance employee morale and well-being.

• Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance evaluations. Develop strategies to recognize and reward high performers and address performance issues proactively.

• Learning and Development: Design and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies. Identify training needs and facilitate opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.

• Talent Acquisition and Retention: Lead the talent acquisition function, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes. Develop strategies to attract top talent and ensure high retention rates through competitive compensation, benefits, and career development opportunities. Essentially, this department runs very effectively under the leadership of the Executive Director of Talent – this function will be much more from an oversight perspective.

• HR Operations and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, and employee relations.

• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Drive DEI initiatives to create a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and respected. Develop strategies to promote diversity at all levels of the organization.

• Change Management: Lead organizational change efforts, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other significant transitions. Ensure effective communication and support for employees during periods of change.

• HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR metrics and data analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership.

• Thought Partner: Daily interaction with all levels of the organization to assist in resolving issues that may arise. Being in HR, we all know that this is difficult to define – essentially, there is so much of the unknown here given that there are a plethora of unique circumstances that could come up on any given day. This role serves as the foundation to assist employees, managers, and leadership to provide a thoughtful approach in all circumstances to assist in navigating sensitive and important situations.

• Financial Fiduciary: Safeguard the financial stability of the organization as it relates to all financial items (recruiting and compensation, new contracts, office management etc.)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred

• 10 years of progressive People Operations experience, including leadership roles in HR strategy and operations

• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance

• Demonstrated experience in employee engagement and retention, employee relations, organizational development, learning & development, talent acquisition, payroll & benefits, leave and compensation

• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
