Total Aerospace Services is Hiring an Aviation Safety Coordinator Near Salina, KS

As the Aviation Safety Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive aviation safety culture within the organization. Reporting to the head of the Aviation department, you will oversee the Safety Management System (SMS) and teach safety courses to students and staff. This 12-month position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in aviation safety education.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and update the safety program and documents, including the Aviation Emergency Response Plan.
  • Provide safety training to supervisors, managers, and students.
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations.
  • Collaborate with unit heads on safety matters.
  • Teach aviation education courses and safety training sessions.
  • Assist with accreditation reports and serve on committees.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and belonging within the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in an aviation-related field or 5-10 years of industry experience.
  • Certified Flight Instructor certification (single engine land).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience in safety program management is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $85,000 - $120,000.
