As a vital team member, you will handle claims submission and work with insurers, as well as interact with patients to address billing inquiries. This role is ideal for a medical biller with a few years of experience looking to enhance their skills in a patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals for patient treatments.
- Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness.
- Use billing software to prepare and transmit claims daily.
- Follow up on unpaid claims with patients and insurance companies.
- Research and resolve denied claims.
- Answer patient and insurance company inquiries about billing.
- Set up payment plans and manage collection accounts.
- Update billing software with rate changes, run collection reports, and update cash spreadsheets as payments are received.
- High school diploma.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting and medical billing procedures.
- 1-3 years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Experience with Auto/Work Comp Claims.
- Medical billing certificate.
- Experience with HMOs, PPOs, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Familiarity with standard medical billing software.
- 401(k) and 401(k) matching.

- Paid time off.
- Full-time position with an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
- Pay: from $55,000 per year.
