Job duties include driving the truck and delivering Total Fire Protection materials to job sites. This also entails loading and unloading the trailer, verifying all supplies needed at the job site are on the trailer and secured. Safety guidelines are to be followed at all times.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Possess a CDL Class A drivers’ license.
• CDLIS drivers’ history.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Long-Distance Driving

Essential Job Functions :

• Be able to work independently.
• Possess good customer service skills.
• Possess knowledge of working the GPS system and reading maps.
• Ensure any delays due to traffic or weather are relayed to office immediately.

• Load and unload cargo, i.e.: steel or plastic pipe, sprinkler fittings, tools.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly, compliant with safety requirements.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Perform pre and post trip inspection of truck and trailer.
• Record hours of service, distance traveled and fuel expenditure.
• Manage bill of lading.
• Maintain log books.
• Communicate with field personal and customers.
• Operate a forklift.
• Follow all appropriate traffic laws.
• Work in shop/warehouse during down time.
• Must wear proper attire at all times while performing specific functions including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Full length pants are required at all times.

Training/ Certification Requirements:

• Current CDL Class A drivers’ license.
• Medical Certification
• CDLIS drivers’ history.
• Proper use of PPE.
• Forklift training and certification.
• Safe lifting training.
• Back safety lifting and protection training.
• Common sense safety training.
