Job Description

Total-Western, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Paramount, CA. The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of engineering and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Initiation: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Ensure alignment with client requirements and organizational goals.
  • Execution and Monitoring: Oversee project execution, monitor progress, and implement necessary adjustments to keep projects on track. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Manage expectations, provide regular updates, and address any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively manage and resolve project-related issues to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and change orders. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement. Implement lessons learned to enhance future project performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the engineering, construction, or industrial sectors.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong understanding of project management principles and practices. Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively convey information and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership and team management skills. Ability to inspire and guide teams to achieve project goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to make data-driven decisions and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards in engineering and construction projects.
  • Licensing: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Experience

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the oil and gas, power generation, or manufacturing industries.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
  • Process Improvement: Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation to completion.

Compensation
