Job Description

Total-Western, Inc. is seeking a meticulous and highly organized Turnaround Planner to join our dynamic team in Paramount, CA. The Turnaround Planner will play a critical role in the successful planning, scheduling, and execution of plant turnarounds and shutdowns. Key Responsibilities

• Turnaround Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed turnaround schedules using project management software. Ensure all turnaround phases are planned, scheduled, and tracked effectively.
• Resource Allocation: Identify and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to meet turnaround timelines and objectives.
• Coordination: Collaborate with turnaround managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure turnaround plans are aligned with client requirements and organizational goals.
• Progress Monitoring: Track turnaround progress against the schedule, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep turnarounds on track.
• Data Analysis: Analyze turnaround data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations to optimize turnaround performance.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular status reports, including schedule updates, resource allocation, and turnaround milestones. Ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive turnaround documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and change orders. Ensure all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate turnaround outcomes and identify areas for process improvement. Implement lessons learned to enhance future turnaround planning and execution.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in turnaround planning, scheduling, or a related role within the engineering, construction, or industrial sectors.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera. Strong understanding of turnaround scheduling and resource allocation.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze turnaround data and develop effective solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively convey information and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in planning and scheduling tasks.
• Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Industry Experience: Experience in the oil and gas, power generation, or manufacturing industries.
• Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
• Process Improvement: Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other data analysis tools.

Compensation
