  • Salary dependent on qualifications and experience
TMI’s Primary PurposeTMI is dedicated to assisting children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, epilepsy, and cerebral palsy, as well as the Deaf and hard-of-hearing, to live, work, and participate in their community. Employees are expected to work effectively with people with such disabilities (known as clients) while being sensitive to their needs and preferences. Job Specific Essential Duties
  • Oversee the Community Integration Training, (CITP) program which is part of TMI’s Employment Solutions department.
  • Develop the Annual Strategic Plans for the CITP program.
  • Responsible for quarterly reporting of accomplishments to Board of Directors and ongoing feedback to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Participate as an active member of executive and management teams.
  • Adhere to all local guidelines, state regulations, and federal mandates pertinent to the CITP program.
  • Develop and implement the quality assurance review of the CITP program including annual program evaluation and ongoing compliance with CARF standards.
  • Serve as liaison between TMI and Department of Developmental Services, Regional Center, public school districts and other interfacing agencies.
  • Supervise and evaluate the Division Managers and Associate Director of Community Integration Training Program.
  • Co-supervise and evaluate the Tailored Day Services program.
  • Oversee job development activities.
  • Oversee grants, special projects, program/business expansion activities, program development, and public relations/marketing.
  • Assist with job identification and development.
  • Oversee records for recipients of support as well as personnel records of Employment Solutions staff.
  • Participation on local and statewide committees relevant to Employment Solutions.
  • Oversee and maintain communication between persons supported, CITP staff, family members as well as other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for informing CITP staff and clients of legislative and regulatory issues relevant to the CITP program.
  • Ongoing staff development including mandatory in-service training(s) and monitoring outside training, program specific training and field training/support.
  • Responsible for approving the attendance of CITP staff at outside training, workshops, and conferences.
  • Frequent travel between assigned office locations (San Diego and El Centro or Temecula and Corona), mileage will be reimbursed.
  • Carry a reduced caseload.
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; Master of Arts or Master of Science in human services or related field, preferred.
  • Experience: Five years working directly with individuals with disabilities. Three to five years in an administrative or supervisory capacity. Knowledge and experience in best practices which are consistent with the mission of TMI may be substituted for education.
  • Skills: Exceptional writing skills.
