Position Title: Medical Physicist

Location: West Reading, Pennsylvania

Position Type: Full-Time

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Medical Physics or a related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology
  • Certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Radiological Physics is mandatory

Position Summary: Our hospital client is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time, ABR board-certified Medical Physicist to join the Radiation Oncology team. This role involves contributing to a range of clinical physics activities within a state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to clinical physics activities with a primary appointment
  • Perform and oversee radiation oncology physics services, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality
  • Engage in advanced clinical procedures and technology implementation, including SRS, SBRT, MR-guided online adaptive, and HDR programs
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team consisting of two physicists, four dosimetrists, and one service engineer
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as the MRIdian, Trilogy, IX, and upcoming Ethos and Edge systems
  • Utilize advanced software and tools including ARIA/Eclipse 15.6, Bravos HDR, Somatom CT-Sim, BrainLAB ExacTrac, and others

Facility and Equipment:

  • Hospital equipped with 3 linear accelerators, with a 4th vault under construction
  • Equipment includes TrueBeam, Halcyon/Ethos platforms, and other advanced radiotherapy technologies
  • Comprehensive suite of software and tools for treatment planning and quality assurance

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in using TrueBeam and Halcyon/Ethos platforms
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with the clinical team
  • Ability to perform and manage complex clinical procedures in a dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
