Town & Country Early Learning Centers is actively seeking an Assistant Director to join our enthusiastic, professional staff and grow their leadership potential in partnership with the center Director.
Overall objective of the position:
The Assistant Director works within a team whose aim is to contribute to the well-being and development of both the children and of the organization. With the guidance of Director, the Assistant Director will educate teachers and parents of the importance of early childhood education and the lifelong impact it has.
Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field)
- Preference will be given to candidates with management experience in a NAEYC-accredited center
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer literacy
- Understanding of the CT-ELDS

Assist the center Director in leading the teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives.
Has a clear, detailed, and total understanding of the state regulations. Assures that the center and staff comply with regulations at all times. Has the ability to transfer state regulation information to staff and parents as necessary.
Has a clear, detailed, and total understanding of all systems, policies, and procedures outlined in the company Operations Manual, Employee Handbook, and Parent Handbook. Communicates policy information to staff and parents as necessary.
Is an authoritative, effective leader and role model, able to coach and mentor staff in a professional, positive manner. Promotes good morale.
Maintains standards of childcare, safety, curricula, and is responsible for the well being of young children. Performance Standards are age specific and include: Developmentally Appropriate Practice and NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) Accreditation.
