Under the direction of the Fine Arts Coordinator and the principal, the Music teacher will teach middle school classes as scheduled, will coordinate music program with classroom programs when appropriate. 

-Conduct middle school music classes as scheduled.

-Provide clear written plans on a weekly basis.

-Report on pupil progress through student report cards.

-Report to parents on student progress when necessary.

-Articulate music interdisciplinary program with classroom teachers. 

-Implement music curriculum.

-Massachusetts certification in area of music at the middle school level. 

 -Demonstrated successful teaching techniques in elementary music in Orff and Gordon Learning Theory.

-Functional proficiency on piano, guitar and ukulele.

- Demonstrated successful techniques in integrating music program into the curriculum of other disciplines.

-Knowledge of successful techniques in mainstreaming the learning disabled.

-Ability to communicate articulately and cooperatively with teachers, parents and administrators.

-Demonstrate music technology expertise

-Competency working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire these skills.
