Job description

To Educate, inform, enrich and inspire!That is our mission at Bridgewater Public Library ! We strive to create innovate opportunities that enrich the lives of Bridgewater residents as a center for information and discovery that inspires curiosity and leads to learning experiences for patrons of all ages. We are looking for a dynamic Office Manager to join our Team and help us with our mission!

Under the general supervision of the Library Director or their designee, the Office Manager provides administrative and accounting support of all Library’s finances, processing and maintaining office and equipment supplies, document recordkeeping and compliance and building and fostering vendor relations.

Essential Job Functions:

Preparing weekly payroll for the department. Reconciling employee monthly accrual balances. Preparing requisitions, purchase orders and processing of special orders; process invoices for payment. Receives, reconciles, and records receipts of library fines, trust fund and memorial donations, deposits funds. Schedules, promotes and collects statistics on adult programming and maintains accounts receivable for meeting room use. Schedules public display cases and gallery space. Performs public service duties in other departments as required by staff absences or volume of service demands. May provide backup coverage when necessary. May undertake special projects, committee work, and other tasks as needed at the request of the Library Director or their designee.

Job Type: Full-time part of the Bridgewater Public Library Staff Association Local 4928, MLSA, AFTMA, AFL-CIO.

Education:

  • High School Diploma required Bachelor's Degree preferred. 

Experience:

  • Office Administration: 3 years (Required)

  • Financial Reporting: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Payroll: 3 years (Preferred)
