We are looking for a Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team...it is you?

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Performs any combination of the following tasks pertinent to controlling the operation of the facility:
• Operates treatment facility to control flow and processing flow wastewater, biosolids, and effluent.
• Monitors gages, meters, and control panels.
• Operates valves and gates, either manually or by remote control; starts and stops pumps, engines and generators to control treatment processes.
• This individual is under the supervision of the Superintendent and the Asst. Superintendent
• Performs laboratory duties when required and fills in for maintenance person when required.
• Must be able to maintain accurate records concerning process control.
• Drives a truck on as needed bases.
• Must be capable of performing rudimentary operation control functions within the facility.
• Involved with the operation and maintenance of the collection system.
• Shall be familiar with all safety equipment used in the department.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE

• Minimal of Mass. Grade 4 Wastewater Treatment Operations License required.

• Formal Education

High School or trade school education or equivalent training and experience.

• General Requirements

1. Ability and knowledge to supervise and participate in maintenance of mechanical equipment, buildings, structures and grounds.
2. Knowledge of processes and equipment involved in wastewater treatment, compost operation, sewer system and pump stations.
