The Town of Sebago seeks a talented individual to oversee our Parks and Recreation Department. This is a full-time position (36 hours per week) at an annual salary of $52,500.00 plus benefits.

Experience in coordinating various athletic programs and events as well as working with a recreation committee would be helpful.

The Recreation Director is a department head position reporting directly to the Town Manager. The Director is responsible for designing, organizing, implementing, and supervising a wide variety of recreational and educational activities, special events, and programs: the day-to-day operation of the Parks and Recreation Department; and to ensure that said Department is running effectively. Work is performed during normal office hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Leisure Service Management, or related field from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of experience in municipal parks and recreation management is preferred. A background of progressively responsible supervisory positions; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities that are required.
