Purpose of the Position/Job Summary

A Mortgage Loan Originator utilizes the knowledge, training and experience to solicit, originate and facilitate the processing and closing of loan products and financing of residential real estate transactions on behalf of the Company’s customers. The Mortgage Loan Originator receives quality inbound calls for new residential mortgage business from company generated leads. Competitive tiered pay structure with additional bonus from self-generated loans.

Key Responsibilities

• Our Loan Officers build rapport, analyze financial situations and determine the appropriate loan product for qualification
• Consult with exclusive clients directly from our lead base on loan options best suited for their needs
• Promote best in class customer experience throughout the loan application process
• Stay educated of industry trends and service as a knowledge source for clients regarding available loan programs and guidelines
• Generate new mortgage applications through established lead channels.
• Submit a complete and accurate loan package to processing
• Resolve file problems, and qualifying issues throughout the loan process aiming to be as efficient, timely and accurate as possible
• Maintains a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Skills

• Proven successful consumer lending sales experience (minimum 2 years), working with conforming, FHA and VA products.
• Proficient computer skills including Encompass (LOS) and Velocify (CRM)
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills (Bi-lingual fluency, a plus).
• Must have strong sales and closing techniques.
• Ability to take initiative and responsibility.
• Strong problem-solving ability with multiple systems and scenarios.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Great at following up with clients and other team members

Education/Experience/Certification

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (College Degree Preferred)

Experience: 2 years loan origination (Call Center Environment Preferred)

Certification: NMLS – Minimum of 5 approved state licensed
