TECHNOLOGY SERVICES SUPERVISOR - ROLLING MEADOWS HIGH SCHOOLGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Technology Services Supervisor is a specialized, technical position that solves problems arising in a large, heavily used LAN/WAN and distributed video environment as well as plans for future installations and changes to the technical infrastructure. Heavy emphasis is placed on both technical abilities and interpersonal skills.

MINIMUM SALARY: Supervisory Grade Three Salary Range - $79,885 - $99,856; Plus Excellent Benefits Package

Specific Duties
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems with system incompatibilities, operating system software, the student information system, printing and network connectivity, and applications.
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems with the video production studio, the distance learning center, and the video distribution system.
- Assists in communicating policies and procedures which relate to instructional technology to staff, students, and community representatives.
- Implements new advances in software and hardware which pertain to the technology infrastructure.
- Coordinates the maintenance and expansion of the building telecommunication system.
- Serves as technical consultant for the buildings' technology instructional programs.
- Coordinates the work of Level I & II Technicians assigned to perform work at the high school(s).
- Coordinates hardware repair with the Electronic Technical Center.
- Performs routine maintenance to computer, media, and related equipment.
- Assists with management of the buildings' LAN, WAN, and video distribution programs.
- Supervises and evaluates the Technology Assistant(s).
- Maintains file servers and backups.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Associate Principal for Operations and the Director of Instructional Technology and Technology Services.
- Associate Degree, Technical School training, or equivalent related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to handle administrative responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and community members.
- Demonstrated ability in planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of computer applications, video distribution systems, database programming, networks and systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MAC and PC computer operating systems.
