As a Curing Technician at Toyo Tires, you will play a crucial role in our tire production process. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain curing presses, ensuring that each tire meets our rigorous quality standards. This position demands a strong commitment to safety, precision, and efficiency. Work environment exposure to heat well over 100 degrees.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and adjust curing presses to meet specified tire curing cycles and production standards.
• Inspect tires before and after the curing process to identify and address defects or inconsistencies.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on curing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of production cycles, machine settings, maintenance activities, and any observed defects.
• Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to ensure seamless operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Experience in operating industrial machinery.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to detect defects and ensure high-quality standards in tire production.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods (12 hours), lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience: Previous experience in industrial environment is preferred.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to heat well over 100 degrees
• Shift: Saturday and Sunday 7am-7pm (will be rotating weekends, work every other Saturday and Sunday averaging 48 hours a month)
• Pay: Hourly $21.79
• Safety Gear: Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, steel or composite toe boots and ear protection.
