We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist with a strong background in the automotive dealership industry. This position involves cleaning and researching accounting transactions for five of our dealership locations, as well as any other tasks assigned by management. This is not an entry-level role; candidates must have prior experience in dealership accounting and be skilled in cleaning schedules. Pay is negotiable and commensurate with experience. Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Clean and research accounting transactions across multiple dealership locations.
• Maintain and clean schedules in accordance with company standards.
• Support management with additional accounting functions as needed.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting practices specific to the automotive industry.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and process payroll for dealership employees.
• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings.
• Generate financial reports and analysis as required by management.
• Monitor and manage inventory transactions, including costing and valuation.
• Ensure compliance with all dealership accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and discrepancies.
• Reliable attendance is required.

Qualifications:

• Automotive accounting experience required.
• Proven experience as an Automotive Bookkeeper or similar role in the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of dealership accounting practices and schedule cleaning.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Dealertrack).
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and research skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks across various dealerships.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and dealership operations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of dealership-specific accounting practices and regulations (preferred).
• Reliability, punctuality, friendliness, enthusiasm, with a positive “team player” attitude.
• Excellent communication.
