TPM is an industry leader in Public Works Labor Compliance Monitoring on mixed-income/affordable housing projects and publicly financed community developments located across Los Angeles County and other Southern CA municipalities. TPM's services include Prevailing-Wage & Apprenticeship compliance, Project Labor Agreements (PLA) compliance, HUD Section 3 Worker Hiring monitoring & Targeted Local Worker Hiring monitoring.
The Project Manager is responsible for the project management and compliance administration of active public works construction projects from pre-construction/groundbreaking through project closeout.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Labor Laws and Regulations as defined by State/Federal agencies, Awarding Body, and the TPM Management.
- Oversee the monitoring and enforcement of Labor Compliance Policies and Procedures across assigned projects.
- Manage and perform Labor Compliance Audits.
- Report on assigned project’s Labor Compliance status to TPM Management, Subcontractors, and Prime GC.
- Identify and escalate potential risks and project schedule blockers to TPM Management promptly to avoid penalties and delays.
- Lead and coordinate communications and meetings related to Labor Compliance requirements, project status, and client requests between Subcontractors, Prime GC, and TPM Management to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain accurate and complete project files, folders, Sublists (on a weekly basis), and documentation for each assigned project.
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in Administration; Project Management; Accounting; Affordable Housing; Construction; and/or Real Estate strongly preferred, but not required
- Proficiency required in Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, Microsoft Teams/OneDrive/SharePoint
- Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaborative team settings
- Detail oriented and drive to always be on top of their areas of responsibility
- Collaborative, respectful, and transparent approach with all stakeholders
- Strong desire to meet commitments/deadlines
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously through high energy, flexibility and excellent organizational skills
