Role Description

We are seeking a flexible and experienced Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to play an important role responsible for executing day-to-day accounting principles while continually improving financial reporting and analysis so that as an organization we can make faster decisions and keep pace with our ever-changing landscape. 

This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a non-traditional environment, who is detail-oriented, and is constantly looking for new and inventive ways to improve our business processes.

As a pivotal member of the Accounting team, you will execute the support work related to the processing, preparation, and reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, monthly business reporting, reconciling credit, and preparation of financial reports.

You will also be responsible for analyzing trends, financial modeling, and ad hoc analysis to transform how we report key business drivers and actionable insights to senior management, and supporting forecasting/planning activities. 

This position is a full-time remote role with clear work from home requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with other accounting team members within organization
• Prepare, execute and review all accounting transactions
• Compile and maintain monthly/weekly reporting on key financial metrics & business trends
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Perform budgeting and planning activities, including but not limited to monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year forecasting
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to aid in decision-making and strategy development
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting accuracy

Role Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
• Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work output
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
