As the Event Chef, you will lead the kitchen, manage staff activities, and execute the menu during events. You will ensure high standards in food specifications, portion control, presentation, safety, and sanitation. You will also promote a harmonious and positive work environment.
Essential Functions
  • Oversee food production according to recipes and directions
  • Supervise preparation, presentation, and portion control
  • Maintain composure during emergencies and busy periods
  • Coach and mentor staff
  • Provide clear direction and achievable goals
  • Interact with other departments and venue staff
  • Ensure quality, sanitation, and cost control standards
  • Train kitchen staff and manage performance
  • Make informed decisions and adapt procedures as needed
  • Communicate effectively with the team
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines (OSHA, Department of Public Health)
Knowledge and Skills
  • Effective training, management, and supervision skills
