Trademark Recruiting is currently conducting a search for an Orlando based financial services company who have recently relocated operations to the Central Florida market, and are continuing to add to their corporate team. *This role will work on a 3/2 hybrid work arrangement
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be involved with Financial Accounting, month end close and bank reconciliations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Involved with the monthly close process. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and workpapers.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
- Run bank reconciliation process.
- Assist with the processing of (re)insurance payments.
- Assist with and coordinate with outside vendors on premium tax filings and payments.
- Assist with the processing and reconciliation of all investment accounting transactions.
- Support year-end audits.
- Participate in process improvement and other ad hoc projects as required.
- Complete duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting of Finance required.
- At least three years of relevant experience.
- STAT Insurance experience, preferably with a Property and Casualty company.
- Good understanding of data analysis and risk management.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong Excel skills.
