Trader Vic's Worldwide is Hiring a Line Cook Near Emeryville, CA

MAIN DUTIES: Prepares mise en place for all dishes assigned to his or her stations. Cook, plate and garnish all dishes ordered during service. Breaks down mise en place and cleans station.
Pre-service
  • Take stock of current inventory and prepare daily prep list.
  • Prepare all required mise en place following Trader Vic’s recipes.Service
  • Cook and serve dishes under supervision of the Chef and Sous Chefs.
Communication
  • Assist Chef and Sous Chef with training new staff.
  • Coordinate with other line cooks to prepare for service.
  • Report any mishaps in the kitchen.
  • Be reliable and punctual at all times.
  • Participate in training activities as required.
  • Undertake and follow through on any reasonable task or request made by Management.
  • Be fully aware of restaurant’s fire and safety regulations and abide by them
  • Be courteous and professional with all colleagues.
  • Inform Management of all complaints or incidents.
Safety & Sanitation
  • Keep work space clean and neat during service.
  • Transfer all mise en place to new containers after service.
  • Completely clean work area before leaving.
  • Ensure that you keep a high standard of personal hygiene, your uniform is kept clean, and that you are well groomed at all times.Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and
