Job Description:
Trail Town Coffee is seeking a friendly, energetic, and skilled Baristas to join our team. Our mission is to deliver exceptional coffee experiences while nurturing a sense of community and celebrating the spirit of adventure in every cup.
As a barista at Trail Town Coffee, you will be the face of our café, providing exceptional service and high-quality beverages to our customers. We are located in the vibrant downtown area of Chattanooga, right next to High Point Climbing And Fitness, making our café a bustling hub for both locals and visitors.

Trail Town Coffee was founded by outdoor enthusiasts who share a passion for both adventure and coffee. Inspired by their love for exploring trails and connecting with nature, they envisioned a coffee shop that would not only serve high-quality brews but also become a hub for THE COMMUNITY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm friendly customer service
- Take orders and prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages to meet our quality standards
- Operate coffee-making equipment and ensure it is properly maintained
- Assist with food preparation and presentation of pastries and snacks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations and customer seating areas
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Provide information about our menu items and make recommendations based on customer preferences
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the café
- Assist customer with purchases of rock climbing gear and Trail Town merchandise
- Uphold health and safety standards
Required Skills:
- Prior experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role
- Proficiency in coffee brewing and latte art techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of different coffee blends and brewing methods
- Passion for coffee and customer service
- Experience in a high-traffic café or restaurant setting
Compensation:
- Starting hourly pay: $15 per hour including $5 expected average tip per hour
