Job Summary: The Plant Room Upgrade Sales Engineer is responsible for the design, including selection and sizing of equipment, and development activities according to customer specifications. He/she shall be responsible for determining the scope of work and preparation and submission of bid documents in timely manner. The Plant Room Upgrade Sales Engineer reports to Plant Room Upgrade Sales Manager. He/she shall coordinate with Customer Consultants, Operations team, and Support team to ensure strategies are executed accordingly and in timely manner.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform project design (including selection and sizing of equipment) and development activities according to customer specifications.
  • Understand scope of HVAC work to bid.
  • Perform site surveys, site measurements, attend pre-bid walkthrough if needed.
  • Attend tender clarifications/interview as and when required.
  • Work with Manager in developing project plan, budget and schedule.
  • Track project progress regularly and develop status reports to management.
  • Interact with the sales/customer consultants and management to ensure all projects are performed within/under allocated budget, timelines and according to plans and specification.
  • Develop cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity.
  • Source/liaise/negotiate with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors on quotations and requirements.
  • Compile supplier/subcontractor quotation, assessment of quotations and prepare costing sheet.
  • Maintain good relationships with subcontractors/vendors/clients.
  • Maintain estimating logs and unit costs for all projects.
  • Determine Bill of Quantity.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to carry out project development tasks.
  • Follow company policies and safety regulations for operational efficiency.
  • Ensure team’s compliance with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Code of Ethics, and Trane Technologies set policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Building
  • Experience in HVAC/ACMV industry, knowledge in HVAC/ACMV is a must
  • Knowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components
  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and other construction documents
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC/Mechanical Contracting
  • Min 2-3 years relevant experience

Job Summary: Trane Technologies is hiring a Sr. Value Stream Coach for our Clarksville, TN Commercial HVAC Americas Plant!The Operational Excellence, Sr. Value Stream Coach is the senior operational excellence role within our Trane Clarksville, TN location and reports directly to the Commercial Americas business unit operational excellence leader. This role will partner directly with the plant manager and site leadership to drive the lean transformation within the site to create customer value. The Sr. Value Stream Coach will develop a team of capable operational excellence professionals to foster a continuous improvement mindset & build systems that drive ideal behavior.
Responsibilities:
  • Coach and develop functional and operations leaders from the front line to senior managers to build a world class lean enterprise
  • Coach and develop the full time OpEx change leaders to grow their OpEx knowledge, coaching and change management capabilities
  • Coach all key contributors daily during formal gemba walks on developing a highly effective (standard & stable) Daily Management Excellence system
  • Increase problem solving capability at the site to achieve incremental improvements in SQDIP metrics by improving system
  • Drive transformational change focused on management through Value Stream Analysis & Mission Control improvement system
  • Enable a highly engaged, high performing culture with foundational focus on leading with humility and respect for people
  • Work with the site leadership to develop value stream maps that establish future state targets on elimination of non-value adding waste and reduction of cycle times
  • Works with the Product Growth Teams to develop strategies and plans to improve customer value of the targeted product lines
  • Lead, Facilitate & coach the transformation plan that attacks the appropriate levers to maximize margin expansion, with a primary focus on growth and leverage
  • Works with OPEX lean enterprise and the site training department to develop and deliver programs to teach the workforce on lean manufacturing tools and concepts such as problem solving, A3 management, leader as coach, Kanban/pull systems, Kaizen, Value Stream mapping, visual management, mistake proofing, 5S and cellular manufacturing
  • Works with value stream team to prioritize the continuous improvement activities identified and approved
  • Works with OpEx Core team to ensure rigor around the pre-work, post work and conducting of the rapid improvement events.
  • Ensure compliance within the value stream with standard processes and standard tools, helps the value stream team develop and follow their personal leader standard work, and helps develop a culture of process discipline around operators and salary associates following process standard work
  • Assists Product Management Leaders and Project Managers in new product introduction and team related project completion
  • Supports and meets Departmental, Plant and Corporate EHS goals. Works in a safe and efficient manner
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or related discipline desired (or equivalent education/ training/ experience)
  • Minimum of 10 years of documented world class lean manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing related safety requirements
  • Knowledge of personal computer applications required (Excel, Word, Visio, and PP).
  • Excellent Team Facilitation Skills
  • Extensive Gemba based continuous improvement-based tools/techniques. Excellent documented leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with both senior management and production
  • Ability to assign priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Experience leading teams and facilitating cross functional events and workshops
  • Ability to create strategy and execute tactical action plans to achieve goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach and empower team members to be their best
  • Able to mentor and facilitate lean culture change in an environment with varying acceptance
This role has been designated by the Company as Safety SensitiveAnnual Base Pay Range - $150,000 - $175,000
Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed. Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
