Job Overview:
Transcare Transportation Services offers an opportunity to change the narrative of how wheelchair-dependent and semi-ambulatory passengers are treated while being transported.

Requirements:
- Current and valid NC State driver's license (must have clean MVR)
- High School completion or GED
- Must pass a background check
- Must have at least 1 year of passenger-driving experience
- Must be able to push, pull and maneuver a standard or bariatric wheelchair
- Must be able to bend and kneel
- Professional, responsible, trustworthy, and have excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle inspection before and after each trip (report any issues or incidents to dispatch)
- Secure all property of Transcare vehicles, devices and most importantly our customers
- Safely operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle with an automatic or manual lift
- Load and unload wheelchair dependent and semi-ambulatory passengers
- Safely secure the passengers with proper use of seatbelt and or wheelchair tie-downs
- Accurate and on-time pick up of passengers (door to door service for passengers)
