Marketing Manager - 12859

Length of Assignment: 6 Months

Location: Ridgefield Park, NJ

Schedule: M-Thurs in office, Friday work from home – must be open to a full 5-day onsite schedule

Summary:

The Marketing Manager will work within the shopper/channel home entertainment business division of our client, including TV, audio, and memory. This individual will partner with integrated and retail account teams, liaison, bringing ideas and opportunities to the team for different large retailers. You will create company marketing or national marketing campaigns, building campaigns with retailers or external partners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.
  • Gather information, create templates or tables to relay information.
  • Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing with outside producers and distributors.
  • Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities.
  • Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
  • Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establish distribution networks and develop distribution strategies.
  • Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.

  • Must be able to capture and explain data to leadership, have a solid understanding of retailers, and influence campaigns and marketing activities that will better suite retail partners.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Strategic thought leadership, influence decision and leadership type of programs they should be doing, strong professional skills, verbal and written communication.
  • Come up with ideas to drive sales
  • Must be able to articulate and express yourself well. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Strong mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Expert knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Expert ability to develop marketing and pricing strategy.
  • Expert knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Retail accounts to support marketing and campaign execution efforts (content, messaging, ad campaigns, creative approvals and other)
  • Drive initiatives that bring our client’s marketing strategies, campaigns and promotions to Retailers (through the account teams) to ensure cross-channel consistency for shoppers throughout the year
  • Lead regular customer-strategic planning and marketing calendar cadence with account teams
  • Manage content launch processes and optimizations across Retail, including all Retail marketing, in-store experiences and websites

Key Points / Necessary Attributes:

  • 8 years total of experience in marketing - 5 years of experience in marketing, 3 years in digital marketing, advertising. Retail marketing experience a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; proven ability to lead initiatives across teams.
  • Superior project management skills, including the ability to prepare written plans and schedules, identify objectives, coordinate and direct project teams and manage budgets.
  • High level of confidence, integrity and enthusiasm that fits a fast-paced, energetic and proactive organization.
  • Work independently and actively in a team environment to achieve business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with high attention to detail. Must be able to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone and through email.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills are critical in this role.
  • Deeply understand the digital and in-store retail shopper experience journey, consumer pain points and industry best practices.
  • Experience managing product experience lifecycle on retailer websites, including toolkit and assets updates, above-the-fold content and A / below-the-fold content launches
