TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full time Facilities Technician I to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Job Summary: The Facilites Technician I performs general facilities maintenance and minor repairs, in addition to ordering, inventorying and stocking facilities supplies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Shares the responsibility for the functionality and cleanliness of the facility and equipment and reports safety hazards promptly.
• Assists with maintaining heating, humidification, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and with minor electrical and plumbing.
• Coordinates ordering, stocking and inventorying of facilities supplies.
• Inspects breakrooms, coffee stations and restrooms throughout the day for supplies and cleanliness and addresses any problems found.
• Inspects facility for repairs and performs scheduled preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Schedules major maintenance and repairs with contractors.
• Assists with moving furniture, equipment and supplies throughout the building.
• Maintains accurate records of service and repairs performed per applicable laws, codes and regulations.
• Interfaces with diverse populations in an office environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years facilities technician experience
• Experience in assisting with installation and repair of HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask.
• Must have excellent communication/customer service skills.
• Must have repair, installation and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with MS Office Software
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with electronic circuits/schematics

Education:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
