OVERVIEW

Transcorp Services LLC is seeking an Assistant Fulfillment Manager for the Fulfillment Operations team.

About our Fulfillment Operations Team: The Fulfillment Operations Team owns innovation in operations and works cross-functionally to bring new fulfillment solutions to market in partnership with retailers. It is charged with creating step-change improvements in growth, customer experience, operations, and shopper experience as we focus on creating new solutions across our multiple operating models that accelerate the future of grocery.

Highlights: This role will work and be expected to commute to an assigned retail fulfillment facility in the Greater St. Louis Area. You will ensure your assigned facility is running at maximum efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities. As an Assistant Fulfillment Manager, you will support our Associates and Shift Supervisors. You will ensure staffing needs are met by managing scheduling, forecasting, and hiring to satisfy staffing support.


ABOUT THE JOB

  • Your role will consist of leading and managing your team of Associates and Shift Supervisors.
  • Manage/execute various process improvement/efficiency initiatives such as lean, six sigma, etc.
  • Deliver effective training for new hires, new initiatives, and operational roll-outs
  • Build a positive and engaging workplace, where each team member feels welcomed and respected
  • Build a collaborative Shift Supervisor team
  • Develop performance improvement plans to meet and exceed facility key performance indicators for Shift Supervisors to execute against
  • Manage facility scheduling & forecasting staffing support needs
  • Institute and manage inventory best practices
  • Proactively initiate operational improvements across the facility based on relevant metrics and KPIs
  • Hire staff and identify, track, and deliver disciplinary action up to and including termination in partnership with human resources
  • Support Operations Manager in professional development and assessment of team members, including writing and delivering annual performance evaluations and ongoing feedback
  • Monitor facility inventory, supplies and amenities as necessary
  • Review, follow-up, and close out any open reports on safety, injuries, Human Resources and/or Employee Relations policy violations, and Loss Prevention issues
  • Develop solutions and create rollout plans for barriers impacting productivity
  • Weekly waste reduction walks to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Work with headquarters to prepare for regulatory visits and act as the on-site point of contact
  • Address or escalate general Human Resources concerns (general employment questions, time off requests, etc.)
  • Travel as needed locally to support assigned facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned (cleaning, special tasks/projects/assignments, etc…)

  • Ensure workspace, dock, shelves, and aisles are clean and organized according to our health and safety standards
  • Comply with all Food Safety standards
  • Become familiar with, and comply with all safety practices and specific work procedures as they apply to their area of authority.
  • Conduct, attend and/or participate in training sessions as scheduled.
  • Observe employee work and work areas, make corrections as per observed policy infractions.
  • Respond to employee and other reports of safety concerns.
  • Report all injuries and near miss incidents and unsafe conditions or work practices in accordance with the Written Safety Plan.


ABOUT YOU

  • Flexible schedule, availability to work holidays, evenings, and/or weekends
  • 2-4 years previous experience in a supervisor role in supermarket, retail, fulfillment, or hospitality environment
  • Excellent talent evaluation skills, including the ability to vet and select motivated associates
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, ability to develop deep and trusting relationships
  • Demonstrated poise with navigating critical, difficult, or sensitive conversations with peers and direct reports
  • Ability to manage and collect data and generate insights
  • Proven ability as a teacher and coach to develop great associates
  • Creative problem-solving skills and comfort with operating within a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
  • Ability to prioritize time and operate autonomously
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout shift
  • Able to remain standing or walking throughout the day
  • Ability to monitor Human Resource compliance, asset protection, safety controls, overseeing the safety of our people and products, operational and quality assurance reviews
  • Builds morale and fosters a collaborative / team-oriented work environment
  • Ability to walk up and downstairs
