About the Position
As a Maintenance Clerk, the primary role is to serve as the administrative support for the maintenance department. Key responsibilities involve managing and tracking maintenance requests and guaranteeing the accuracy of data records. Additionally, the Maintenance Clerk plays a crucial part in procuring necessary supplies for maintenance operations. Beyond these core duties, the role extends to collaborating on the formulation and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures. Furthermore, the Maintenance Clerk acts as a liaison, providing exceptional customer service to both internal colleagues and external clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently and precisely process orders for parts and components from mechanics and customers, ensuring timely fulfillment.
  • Meticulously verify part numbers and specifications to guarantee the correct items are ordered and received.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate inventory of parts and components, replenishing stock levels as required.
  • Receive and thoroughly inspect incoming parts for any damage or inaccuracies, ensuring quality control.
  • Properly tag and store parts in their designated locations within the warehouse or storage area, maintaining organization.
  • Collaborate with mechanics, assisting them in locating and acquiring the precise parts required for repair tasks.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both internal colleagues and external clients
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols to maintain a secure and clean working environment.
  • Compile, type, edit, and distribute departmental correspondence, spreadsheet reports, and PowerPoint presentations, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Requirements: 
  • Educational Requirement: Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or an equivalent academic credential is mandatory.
  • Professional Experience: Prior clerical work experience is necessary. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with two or more years of counter or stockroom experience in an automotive or trucking environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in the utilization of various office machines, equipment, and computer systems is required.
  • Driving Eligibility: Holding a valid state-issued driver's license is mandatory.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral communication abilities are essential, along with the capacity to comprehend and follow written and spoken instructions effectively.
  • Knowledge Base: Basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous for this role.
  • Functional Skills: Fundamental inventory management, mathematical, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Attention to Detail: Exhibiting a strong attention to detail is crucial.
