Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain company-owned vehicles, including tractor-trailers equipped with manual transmissions.
- Transport goods and materials between designated locations, following predetermined routes and schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of the vehicle and its components.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any changes to the schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, hours of service, fuel consumption, and other relevant information.
- Ensure that cargo is properly secured and protected from damage during transit.
- Handle paperwork, invoices, and documentation associated with each shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of one year of experience as an OTR Driver.
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in operating vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Excellent driving skills and a commitment to safety.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules and environments.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Must be willing to work as a contractor and accept percentage pay.
- Must be willing to use a company-provided gas card for fuel expenses.
