We are seeking an Transportation / Traffic Engineer to join our Chicago, IL team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conduct traffic studies and analyze traffic data to determine patterns and trends
• Develop transportation plans and design transportation systems that improve safety and mobility including but not limited to traffic signals, signal systems, ITS, signs and markings
• Develop traffic signal timing and programming plans
• Assist with the preparation of project budgets and schedules
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
• Prepare reports, specifications, and designs for transportation projects
• Stay up-to-date with advances in transportation/traffic engineering and technology
• Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Focus
• 1-3 years experience in transportation/traffic engineering

Technical Requirements:

• EIT certification
• Ability to obtain PTOE certification when eligible
• Ability to obtain professional engineering (PE) license when eligible
• Knowledge of HCS, Synchro, MS Word, Excel, MicroStation; VISSIM and SIDRA a plus
• Strong familiarity with relevant federal standards including MUTCD and PROWAG

Other miscellaneous qualities:

• Travel anticipated for 5% of the time
• Dedication to safety and being part safety oriented culture
