Location: Flexible. Candidates local to Cleveland, OH may work on-site or hybrid if so desired. Fully remote is also an option for all candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate and communicate effectively and efficiently with other developers on the team.
• Participate in and conduct code reviews.
• Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance the Transtar/Transend Platform.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including solution design, estimation, development, documentation, testing, and deployment in an Agile Continuous Delivery environment.
• Select, architect, and develop concepts based on project and technical requirements.
• Contribute to all other aspects of backend design with attention to API experience and process.
• Assist and mentor other developers on the team in software development best practices.

Primary Tech Stack:

• C#/.NET
• SQL
• REST/SOAP APIs
• Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Source control (Git)

Secondary Tech Stack:

• Messaging queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Docker/Kubernetes
• ReadyAPI (SmartBear)
• Backend design patterns (Vertical Slice, TDD)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of software development experience utilizing C#/.NET.
• Experience consuming APIs (Postman, REST/SOAP, Open API Specification).
• Demonstrated SQL experience, including knowledge of relational databases and complex queries.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data flow and interaction from database through to the frontend.
• Experience with messaging queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Cloud services experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience using source control (preferably Git).
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment.
• Demonstrated ability to complete deliverables on time and within budget, working under minimal supervision.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Use of Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Automation experience with resources like ReadyAPI (SmartBear).
• Knowledge of backend design patterns (Vertical Slice, Test Driven Development (TDD), etc.).
