Transwest is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk Near Brighton, CO

Transwest is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk. This position is an integral part of the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. The Accounting Clerk will assist with AR and GL functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Post and reconcile daily cash transactions.
  • Post journal entries.
  • Clean and maintain accounting schedules.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Establish and update customer accounts.
  • File paperwork.
  • Process trade reference request for credit applications.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Serve as back-up to other Accounting team members and cashier.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  • Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate by providing verbal / written feedback in a professional manner.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong data entry and math skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
