• Perform repairs following OEM standards
• Adhere to company safety guidelines
• Communicate openly with management and other Transwest personnel
• Perform work as displayed on work order.
• Communicate with advisor or manager if additional work is need.
• Document in detail, work performed.
• Learning alongside an experienced technician
• Participate in training as required.
• Keep shop areas clean and safe
• Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.

• Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
• Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
• Normal range of hearing and vision.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a DOT drug test and physical
• Have a drivers' license and good driving record
• Work well in a team environment
• Ability to pass a physical/drug test and background/MVR check

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks.
• Diesel Engine Technology Certifications/Education.
• Freightliner or Western Star experience.
