What you'll be challenged to do:

Seeking an entry level Bridge Inspector for work in Texas area. Candidate shall be familiar with Bridges and general Bridge terminology. Looking for a technical individual, team oriented with strong communication skills. Individual must be willing to travel and work outside.

General Duties & Responsibilities: individual is expected to be familiar with following:

• Field Inspection and preparation.
• Willingness to work at heights
• Willingness to work at night
• Organize and enter inspector’s notes into the Bridge Management System.
• Prepare reports for submission.
• Individual will be required to take and convert measurements.
• Willingness to take and pass NHI 130055 Safety Inspection In-Service Bridges Course.
• Other duties may be assigned, but not limited to:
• Create folders for different districts.
• Keep track of inspection files for different projects.
• Communication with sub-consultants on related tasks.
• Basic office duties.
• Maintaining file folder for different inspection project.

What you bring to our firm:

• High school diploma or GED
• 5 years of documentable bridge or field inspection experience
• Minimum (Basic knowledge of computers and typing).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

What we’d prefer for you to bring to our firm:

• NHI certification in the Inspection of Bridges
• Rope Access Technician (Level II or III)
• Knowledge of Adobe, Paint.net, and Google Maps.
• Knowledge of ProjectWise, Blue Beam and Google Earth.

Work Environment:

• The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk or hear, and drive a bucket truck or a pickup truck. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
