Who YOU AreAs the Managing Director at Trash Butler, you will bring a dual commitment to serving our customers and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees. The ideal candidate will possess a leadership style that blends fun, focus, and professionalism, ensuring that their team operates within the provided framework without cutting corners. In this role, you will drive profitable sales and operational excellence within our serviced multifamily communities, overseeing a team of Field Quality Managers, Area Supervisors, and Butlers. This candidate should be flexible and possess a leadership approach that yields high performance from each team member, while also excelling in attracting, hiring, and retaining exceptional talent.
The Managing Director should have the ability to lead impactful meetings, manage operations, coach team members, and inspire a customer-centric focus to excellence across all aspects of our service. This position will integrate industry best practices into our operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. As Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position will need to have an understanding and ability to lead initiatives aimed at elevating the customer experience and exceeding service expectations, while also optimizing processes to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Financial oversight and market expansion are also key aspects of the role. You will collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets and identify opportunities for growth within our assigned region. As the Managing Director, your role encompasses overseeing process optimization and financial oversight to drive operational efficiency and financial success. Utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) you will identify and implement process improvements aimed at streamlining operations and reducing costs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure seamless coordination and communication in implementing these improvements. Staying informed about industry best practices and technological advancements will enable you to drive innovation within our operations. Working closely with leadership and finance teams, you will manage budgets, forecast expenses, and ensure financial targets are met, while also identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving the operational and financial success of Trash Butler. The Managing Director is a dynamic and impactful individual, driving sustainable growth and expansion while maintaining a focus on operational excellence and customer-centricity.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Business Operational & Leadership
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and achieve organizational objectives.
    • Provide direction and guidance to the operational teams, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
    • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.
  • Customer Experience Management
    • Lead initiatives to enhance the customer experience and satisfaction.
    • Develop and implement customer-centric strategies to exceed service expectations.
    • Analyze customer feedback and market trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor a team of direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and implementing development plans.
    • Recruit, train, and retain top talent to build a high-performing team.
  • Process Optimization
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
    • Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements to drive innovation.
  • Financial Oversight
    • Work closely with leadership including finance teams to manage budgets, forecast expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
  • Market Expansion
    • Partner with the RSD to create brand awareness, which will include, but not limited to, attendance at association events, trade shows, etc.
    • Leverage relationship to generate leads that will drive revenue growth and market expansion within your assigned region.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Position Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience of two to five years.
    • Proven track record of success in operations management, preferably in a leadership role.
    • Deep understanding of high levels of hospitality.
    • Experience managing multiple locations or regional operations.
    • Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills.
    • Strong work ethic with a focus on quality improvement.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with coworkers, employees, and customers.
    • Self-motivated and resourceful, able to work independently.
    • Collaborative team player mentality.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance with a good driving record.
    • Comfortable working in outdoor settings and walking the distance of a property.
    • Capable of lifting 50lbs, bending at waist/knees, lifting bags over the shoulder, climbing up/downstairs, and driving for extended periods.
    • Flexibility to be on call during daytime and evening hours and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Flexibility to periodically travel out of state as needed.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree in business administration, management, operations, or related field.
    • Solid understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, and cost control.
    • Proficiency in analyzing financial reports and utilizing data-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency and drive profitability.

    • Competitive base salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience
    • 15% Variable Comp eligible, based on Annual Salary and paid Quarterly, with additional commission eligible based individual closed sales.
