Job Title:** RN Clinical Nurse - Emergency Department **Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night (3pm-3am) **Guaranteed Hours:** Information not provided **Experience:** Less than 1 year of direct patient care preferred **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Preferred - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) **Must-Have:** - BLS and ACLS certifications - Ability to communicate proficiently in English - Basic computer skills **Job Description:** - Actively participate as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients, families, and significant others receive high quality, individualized care. - Practice in an environment supported through a shared governance model, guided by professional practice models, evidence-based practices, and research. - Uphold nursing practice as outlined by relevant practice acts and code of ethics standards. - Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice. - Provide patient-centered care that considers the specific characteristics of the population. - Partner with patients and significant others, ensuring their goals and needs are prioritized in the care plan. - Engage in teamwork and collaboration by coordinating safe patient care, facilitating interdisciplinary communication, and promoting a respectful, inclusive environment. - Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance. - Complete professional competency assessments and mandatory education efficiently. - Serve as a mentor or preceptor for other nurses and healthcare professionals. - Support evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement efforts. - Assist in the development of clinical protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes. - Ensure effective use of human and material resources. **Additional Notes:** - Participate in data collection and utilize proper resources to address clinical questions. - Required to work every other weekend and cover two major and two minor holidays.
