Pay Information$2,104 per week About The PositionJob Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to work in our Labor and Delivery unit. As a member of our dedicated healthcare team, you will play a key role in providing safe and personalized care to expectant mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being of both mother and baby by monitoring their condition, administering medications, and providing emotional support. Responsibilities
Assess and monitor the condition of expectant mothers and fetuses during labor and delivery.
Administer medications and assist with medical procedures as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide emotional support and education to expectant mothers and their families.
Monitor and record vital signs, fetal heart rates, and contractions.
Assist with the management of high-risk pregnancies and emergencies.
Prepare patients for labor and delivery and assist with the birthing process.
Care for newborns, including performing initial assessments, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with breastfeeding.
Ensure a safe and sterile environment in the labor and delivery unit.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Stay current with best practices and advancements in labor and delivery nursing.
Qualifications:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
