About The PositionJob Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery - Nights Job Specialty: RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night, 7 PM-7 AM; Every other weekend; 2 major, 2 minor holidays Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Less than 1 year; direct patient care experience preferred License: RN - Single State or Multi-state Compact Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), AWHONN Must-Have: Ability to read, write, and speak English; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; customer service skills; ability to function in a fast-paced environment; excellent time management skills; critical thinking skills Job Description: - Serve as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality and safe patient care for patients, families, and significant others. - Practice within a clinical environment guided by nursing managers and leaders, utilizing a professional practice model and evidence-based research. - Licensed nurses must uphold nursing practices according to professional and ethical standards. - Perform the nursing process based on current clinical practice standards, ensuring individualized patient care and optimal outcomes. - Provide relationship-based patient care consistent with population characteristics, adapting to cultural diversity. - Engage in teamwork, coordination, and collaboration to ensure delivery of safe, quality patient care. - Support performance improvement and participate in shared governance and interdisciplinary processes. - Promote professional development through competency assessments and mentoring new staff. - Advocate for evidence-based practice and participate in research activities. - Utilize resources efficiently for patient care planning across the continuum. - Participate in protocol and procedure development with care managers and healthcare team members.
