Human Resources Business Partner | ||||||||

Job Description | ||||||||
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HRBP aligns the local administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs to the corporate policies. The HRBP carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, hiring and on boarding, training and development, benefits, compensation, timekeeping support, reassignments and off boarding. This position supports and complies with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and assists the onsite team to reach the contract and company performance objectives. Duties and Responsibilities * Administers employee policies, programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the goals of the contract and the company. * Interacts daily with employees, answers employee questions regarding working conditions and benefits. * Maintains employee-related databases. * Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company. * May manage the recruitment process for employees using the company recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce. * Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws. * Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. * May participate in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth. * Advises managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system of the company. * Tracks and manages leave related issues including Workman's Compensation, Short Term Disability, FMLA, etc. * Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs, if required. * Consults HR Manager and legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law. * Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. * Maintains historical human resource records using company filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records. * Maintains human resource results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. * Assists with the company-wide committees including the wellness, training, environmental health and safety, activity, and culture and communications committees. | ||||||||
