Traywick's Garage is Hiring a Tire And Lube Technician Near Winter, FL

Automotive Service and Repair Garage in Winter Garden, FL is looking for a second tire and lube technician to join our 12 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and hard-working. We’d prefer to hire a candidate who has previous experience in the automotive industry. It would be even better if you’ve completed some formal training in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Input vehicle information when it arrives for repairs
  • Perform general vehicle digital inspections to determine the specific types of maintenance and repairs that are needed
  • Change Oil and filters
  • Check Tires - Pressure, age, and condition
  • Test Electrical Components - Battery, Alternators and Starters
  • Reset Maintenance Light
  • Report Unsafe conditions on vehicle
  • Document any damage that vehicle has, prior to bringing it for service
  • Perform Rotation when needed
  • Dismount, remount and balance tires
  • Properly torque wheels to spec
  • Repair tires
  • Ensure vehicle is put back together the proper way and it's left clean
  • Maintain all equipment clean
  • Learn to perform other repair and services to grow into a more technical role
  • Willing to attend training when available
  • It will be required to maintain a clean environment.
  • Candidate must be willing to assist the rest of the team with inspections, cleaning all areas of the shop.
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a shop - This is a must - Do not apply if not experienced with tires, lube, and oil
  • Formal automotive maintenance training is preferred - Specific use of tire mounting machines and balancers
  • Ability to use a wide variety of automotive tools and techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in both team settings and individually
  • Self Motivated
  • Must be efficient with computers and English
  • Must have a good steady work history
  • Must be willing to learn new equipment.
  • Must have a steady work history - If candidate has multiple jobs for a short period of time, it will not be considered.
