Summary:

The Surgery Center at Tri-City Orthopaedic Clinic. P.S.C has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding team as an OR circulator in our Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Position Duties:

  • Serve as the patient advocate to oversee the safety, care, and needs of the patient
  • Ensure consent form is accurate and surgical site is marked
  • Assess the patient's condition before, during, and after the surgical operation; plan intraoperative care
  • Observe surgery and provides assistance to the sterile team and anesthesia
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and OR team
  • Oversee the sterility of the entire procedure to include proper sterile technique, breaks in the sterile field, managing personnel entering/exiting the OR
  • Conduct proper handling of specimens
  • Facilitate the smooth functioning of the surgical flow, while anticipating last minute changes in the schedule
  • Supporting the patient care cycle by providing compassionate patient centered quality care to TCO patients and family members
  • Other duties as assigned

Schedule:

  • Variable, 10hr shift, 12hr shift
  • Monday - Friday, rotating days off
  • No nights or weekends
  • No call
  • Major holidays off

Education, Licenses and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current Washington State RN license
  • Current ACLS/BLS, or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Prior patient care experience in a surgical setting

Preferred:

  • At least 2 years nursing experience in an operating room
  • Scrub experience
