The ideal candidate will have the ability to assist our customer base by implementing, maintaining, and repairing both business-critical and mission-critical communications at a subscriber (radio) and infrastructure level. Field Service Technicians are responsible for the implementation of Motorola Solutions two-way communications products. The Field Service department is on call 24/7/365 to support mission-critical systems for our public safety customers.
Responsibilities include:
- The removal and installation of mission-critical public safety equipment within a variety of vehicles.
- Installation of electrical wiring, antenna systems, power cables, data cables, and application of various connectors.
- Removal and installation of fixed electronic equipment including Emergency Lights, Siren Control Box, Siren Speaker, Mobile Data Terminal, Cellular Modems, Mobile Video Recording Equipment, GPS Equipment.
- Removal and installation of fixed equipment including paneling, headliners, seats, consoles, carpet, trim, public safety cages, cargo boxes, etc.
- Work on various vehicle types including sedans, SUVs, commercial trucks, buses, boats, and motorcycles. Document pre and post-installation vehicle condition.
- Complete service ticket requirements with customer information, work performed, parts used, and time dedicated to a specific job.
- Must have and the ability to maintain a clean driving record.
