LEAD TEACHEREARLY HEAD STARTFULL-TIME, FULL YEAR, 40 HOURS PER WEEK, NORTH PROVIDENCEGENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Oversee the daily operations of an Early Head Start classroom and toprovide the children with and educational program that is conducive to optimal development.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Be knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate practices and theHead Start Performance Standards, planning according to the individual needs of each child, completingeducation paperwork, conducting developmental assessments, documenting assessment data in the webbased data management system, conducting observations of children daily, encouraging familyengagement in the program, conducting home visits per the Performance Standards, maintaining a safeand healthy environment, providing Responsive Caregiving to all children and promoting the schoolreadiness of children and families in the program.QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree Early Childhood Education (preferred) or Infant/Toddler CDA.Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards certificate preferred.SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be skilled in building positive relationships with children,families and colleagues.
