Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing a safe and engaging environment for our children. As a Daycare Assistant Teacher, you will be responsible for assisting the teacher with classroom activities and fostering positive relationships with children and their families. Duties:

• Develop and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes learning, socialization, and emotional growth
• Interact with children
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective childcare program
• Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks
• Assist Teacher with engaging educational activities for children
• Assist in putting children to sleep
• Assist with daily logging
• Adhere to DCFS guidelines and Tri-County Urban League Policies and Procedures

Skills:

• 1 2 years or some experience in childcare preferred
• MUST PASS Illinois State Background check
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma/GED
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
• Experience in caregiving and providing emotional support to children
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Physical and mental health that do not interfere with childcare responsibilities
• Integrity, Reliable, and Punctual
• Able to work as a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
